ATI X1900 Graphic Cards and Display Lines
Are you still being harassed by such things? It is a heat issue with the ATI graphics card. You should ramp the fan on the card up from its default 500 to 1500 rpms by using a free little fan control program called smcFanControl v2.12. Buy a can of compressed air, open your Mac Pro casing and blow out all the dust in/around the graphics card as well as all the vents. Once that is done you should have no more problems with display lines. If you do then it is most likely a faulty ATI X1900 graphic card.
