U.S. Army Opts for Security of Macs
The Army has endured a number of high-profile hacking incidents this past year due to the poor security of the Microsoft operating system platform and as a result are now adding Macs to its IT infrastructure. The security of the UNIX core of OS X, combined with the lack of virus, worms and trojans, ensures a stronger security for the U.S. Armed Forces. The Army has begun porting their software packages over to OS X and by February the Army's access card system will be ported to OS X.
