My good friend Ron has been working hard converting his large VHS tape collection over to digital format. He's using EyeTV Hybrid and has mastered the process rather quickly and has taken to his new Mac [iMac] like a Pro. Best wishes on your project dude!

New Apple TV Coming?
Speaking of Macs and TV ... Businessweek is reporting that Apple will be offering a new set-top box to enhance their movie rentals and purchases directly from the device putting Apple in direct competition with video-on-demand services (Comcast the biggest cable and DirectTV over satellite). Apple's ace is Disney, of course, but Fox, Warner Bros, Paramount and Lionsgate will join the iTunes gallery.

GarageSale Updated
If you?re an avid eBay seller or even a ?wannabe? then you?ll be happy to hear that GarageSale, the premier eBay auction maker/monitor, has been updated to v4.0. New features include:

* unifies previously separated modes for Templates and Auctions
* auction description and images can be edited in preview mode
* improved graphical auction scheduler
* faster auction uploads by using multiple threads for auction and image uploads
* can watch with PayPal account for incoming payments
* uses seperate Media Browser window for importing images
* can reply to messages received through eBay's My Messages system
* can specifiy users's skype settings when uploading auctions
* can import images from Aperture photo library
* no longer enforces fixed image ratio previoulsy required by eBay's picture service
* improved search functionality
